Message from the Principal
Dr. Renu Kadian brings two decades of teaching and research experience at both UG and PG levels, with a research focus on Psychopharmacology. She was awarded second prize at the 12th Annual National Convention of APTI, held at the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Punjab University, Chandigarh, for her master's research work and holds a patent for an instrument developed during her Ph.D. for inducing psychosis in laboratory animals.
She has over 35 national and international research publications and book chapters to her credit, and actively guides postgraduate students on their research projects. She holds a certificate as a Drug Information Pharmacist from a WHO-organized workshop at the Karnataka State Pharmacy Council, under the project “Setting up of Drug Information Centre in Selected State in India.”

The growth of the pharmaceutical industry has been exponential. With the world moving towards the need for affordable methods of medical treatments, the role of the pharmacist today is just as important as that of a medical doctor. The Faculty of Pharmacy endeavours to disseminate the knowledge and understanding of pharmacy as a way of producing top-notch pharmacists, who are ready to attend to the various needs of the industry for the welfare of the people. All the constituent colleges of DDR Group of Colleges which house the Faculty of Pharmacy are actively involved in research and consultancy in collaboration with various pharmaceutical industries to provide the much-needed industrial exposure while the students are still in pursuit of their various courses. With our state-of-the-art research facilities, we seek to provide the most extensive research in the field of pharmacy to produce the most impactful solutions which are vital towards human welfare. The various experts and lecturers also go on to provide a personalised learning experience to our students which prepares them for their academic future careers in pharmacy.
